Booth Hire Terms and Conditions

We're pretty flexible with everything, but we will need you to follow the below terms and conditions to protect both you and the booth! Going ahead with rental of the photobooth constitutes an agreement to these terms.


Payment Terms

Making a payment of any amount toward your invoice will constitute agreement of all terms on this document. To secure your booking and to avoid disappointment, we require a 10% deposit deposit to be paid within six weeks of the date of your event. You are welcome to make payments at your own pace, however the full amount of the invoice is due within two weeks of the date of your event.


We understand things don’t always go as planned, so we are quite flexible with our cancellation options. All cancellation requests must be received in writing.

  • If you advise us of cancellation more than two weeks from the date of your event, we will provide a full refund.

  • If advised in writing between two weeks and 48 hours before the event date, we will provide a refund of monies paid minus a 20% cancellation fee to cover lost bookings.

  • If you need to make a cancellation less than 48 hours before the event date, we unfortunately cannot provide a refund.

Rescheduling Your Booking

All reschedule requests must be received in writing. We will do our best to work with your options for rescheduling, however if we cannot accommodate the new date of your event, the standard cancellation terms will apply.


If any part of the booth or props are missing or damaged, the hirer will be billed for the full amount of the repair or replacement, whichever is cheaper. A full log of props and equipment is kept by Photogenic Photobooths, and all props and equipment are examined before and after each booking.

Travel Time

We offer free delivery of the photobooth within 30 minutes of the Brisbane CBD. If your event premises is outside of that zone, we will assess a delivery fee and advise you in writing before we confirm the booking.


A full parking space must be provided to the technician for the duration of your hire, plus 30 minutes before and after to account for the time needed to setup and dismantle the booth. If paid parking is the only option, it will be the hirers responsibility to organise that with the venue.

Duration of Hire

We will arrive approximately 30 to 45 minutes before the start time requested to set up the booth, so that it is ready from the time booked. The booth will stay operational until the end of the hire time, after which we will dismantle the booth.

Extending Your Hire

If you would like to extend your hire on the date of your event, please contact us. We will offer you what is available. The full amount of the extended hire will be payable immediately.

Location of the Booth

As the photobooth is fragile, high tech equipment, it must be shielded from the elements (including, but not limited to: sun, rain and wind) at all times. If the photobooth is to be set up outdoors, it will be required to be set up in a covered area with at least two walls. We require a space of at least 2x2 meters, although the larger space, the better the experience will be. We also require a standard 240 volt powerpoint to be within 10 meters of the booth.

Use of the Booth at Venues

If the event is going to take place at a public venue, it is the hirers responsibility to ensure there is adequate approval, space and power available for the photobooth, and that use of the booth will not interfere with any other patrons.

Caring for the Booth

No drinks or liquids are to be permitted within one meter of the booth, to reduce the risk of spills or damage. Moving the photobooth after the technician has set up the booth is not permitted. On some bookings, we will include a backdrop which cannot be leaned against as it is not designed to stand against external forces. Children under 10 years old are not permitted within two meters of the booth unless supervised by an adult.


If there is a delay outside of our control, we will not be responsible for any delays to the start time of your hire. We will extend the hire of the photobooth at our discretion, taking in to account the unique circumstances of the delay.

Use of Images

We reserve the right to use any images taken with our photobooth for marketing purposes on our website or any other marketing material. If you would not like us to do this, please contact us in writing before the date of your event.
